Cornish Heritage Farms Challenge

Cornish Heritage Farms has issued another challenge . . . create a card or project using a Winter theme.  And, of course, you have to use Cornish Heritage Farm images (digital or rubber).  I have created a cute little ornament for my submission.

I made a shaker box using a Sizzix Bigz Shaker Box die.  I attached the box to a pre-made snowflake by Hallmark.  The snowflake came in a package with three sizes of snowflakes.
I using K& Company paper for the box.  It is a lovely blue background with snowflakes all over.
I using CHF Country Chapel Winter Scene Digital Stamp.  I printed the image on vellum.  I then cut it out and put glitter on the edges.  I also added glitter on the chapel roof and the snow.

When you open the box, you see this cute little snowman.  It is the Holly Snowman Digital Stamp from CHF.   I added glitter to the pom-pom on top of his hat as well as to the holly and berries.  He is so cute.  You can put little treats inside

Isn't he cute?  You can also make whole bunch of othese boxes for an Advent calendar.  You can also wrap ribbon around the box with a loop on top for hanging (do now use snowflake).  They would be really cute hanging on a tree.

Thank you for visiting and have a Very Happy New Year!

Cornish Heritage Farms

Cornish Heritage Farms has a bi-weekly challenge.  This time the challenge was boxes or bags.  At first I had no idea what I was going to create.  So I started browsing through their digital images and an idea came to me.  I hope you like it as much as I do!

It is a two-sided bag.  One side has the image with a sentiment and the other side has the image only.  I took an image from Cornish Heritage Farms "Village Snow Scene" , one of their sentiments "Kindness is Like Snow" and combined them together to make one picture.  I then printed it out onto Jacquard Cotton for inkjet printing.  I printed out two of the images and adhered to canvas using Steam-a-Seam.  Then I used my sewing machine to applique it to the canvas.  I used the prettiest thread from Sulky.  It is varigated with red, green, white, and gold.
I then took the canvas with the appliqued scenes and made them into a bag.  I die cut holly leaves and berries from felt.  I needle felted them together and sewed them onto the bag.

I die cut "Noel" from green and red DCWV glitter paper.  I then ran them through the Xyron machine and attached one to each side of the bag.
I used Tim Holtz' die to cut out the Noel.
I used Tim Holtz' lamppost die to cut out the holly leaves and berries.
I used ribbon from Jo-Ann for the handles.
This is the sentiment I used on the bag.  I felt it went with the beautiful village scene.

I am entering this bag into the following challenges:

Cornish Heritage Farms - Boxes or Bags
Sugar Creek Hollow - For A Gift

Thank you for visiting and I hope that you have a very Merry Christmas!

Crafty Secrets December Linky Party

Beautiful vintage images and papers.  It is time for Crafty Secrets December Linky Party.  I have created a cute little stocking!

Fabulous Update

I won the Crafty Secrets December Linky Contest!  Congrats to all who entered the contest with their beautiful creations.

I used Crafty Secrets Vintage Christmas Papers for the stocking.  The cute paper doll is also Crafty Secrets.  I have discovered the fun of digital products.  You can print out the papers and images as many times as you want on all different types of paper.

Close up image of the items in the stocking.  The  baby doll and dog come with the Crafty Secrets Christmas Doll.  The greenery is cut using Tim Holtz Tattered Pinecone Die using mulberry paper.  You can get Tim Holtz dies on Molly's Square.  She has the best deals on Tim Holtz dies, Spellbinders, and much more.
I cut out the stocking on my Cricut Expression 2 and the Christmas Cheer cartridge.  I added little snowflake charms and red jingle bells to the felt cuff (I cut out the cuff by hand).  I tied some jingle bells to the handle of the stocking with a little red and white twine.

The baby doll and dog come with the paper doll download.

Isn't she adorable?  She comes with different outfits!

I also added a red jingle bell to the tip of the stocking.  I love the fun shape of the stocking.
The paper is just gorgeous!  I picked the one titled "Santa Collage" for the stocking.
