I created the hanging using a picture from Crafty Secrets Illustrations CD. I printed out the picture and cut it down to size. I cut out chipboard the same size and took Ranger Adirondack Lights Acrylic Paint Dapper in Snowcap to the edges. I then cut out some matching paper from K&Company for the back. For the back of the hanging I printed out Crafty Secrets Winter Kids 2" x 2" Box & Tag CS-02. I used decorative edged scissors to cut out the images and inked all edges with Tim Holtz/Ranger Gathered Twig Distress Ink. I then attached the images to the decorative paper.
I then glued the paper and chipboard together (paper sandwich). I used was paper and a brayer to get a nice flat surface and good glue adhesion. After letting that dry overnight, I took Inkssentials Glossy Accents to one edge at a time and attached Martha Stewart Crystal Tinsel Glitter (which is on clearance at Michael's). I used Glossy Accents because it dries faster than Martha Stewart Glitter Glue. Once the glitter had been applied to all four sides and dried, I used hair spray to seal the glitter (otherwise it gets everywhere).
I then punched two holes in the top of the hanging. I had purchased primitive (rusty) twisted wire and jingle bells from Streetcar Junction (on Ebay) and I thought they would be just right for this project. I sprayed the wire and bells with hair spray. You can also use a clear spray sealer or clear spray paint. I put a bell on one end thead the wire through the holes and then attached the final bell.
